Original - Floral Serenade
A quiet meeting between a New Holland Honeyeater and one of Australia’s most luminous native flowers.
Description
There is something wonderfully peaceful about watching a New Holland Honeyeater pause amongst the curling petals of a flowering grevillea. Drawn by nectar, the bird becomes part of a fleeting moment that many of us pass without noticing—a reminder that extraordinary beauty often exists in the everyday.
Painted against deep green foliage, the glowing apricot, coral and golden blossoms seem to emerge from the shadows, creating a sense of quiet light. The contrast between the delicate grevillea and the alert posture of the honeyeater celebrates the intricate relationship between Australia’s native flora and birdlife.
Painted in acrylic on canvas from my studio in the Swan Valley, Western Australia, Floral Serenade reflects my ongoing fascination with Australia’s native gardens and my desire to help others slow down, notice more deeply and reconnect with the natural world.
Whether displayed as a statement piece or enjoyed in a peaceful corner of the home, this original painting brings warmth, colour and a gentle celebration of Australia’s remarkable wildlife.

About the Frame
This painting is presented in a handcrafted solid Tasmanian oak frame, chosen to complement the warm apricot, coral and golden tones of the grevillea while allowing the rich greens of the background to remain beautifully understated. The natural timber enhances the warmth of the artwork and suits both contemporary and classic interiors.
