Celebrate the beauty of everyday objects in this relaxed and inspiring acrylic painting workshop with award-winning artist Hayley Krüger.

Working from a carefully selected reference image, you'll create a luminous pear painting in acrylic on canvas while learning how to simplify form, mix rich colour and use light and shadow to bring your subject to life. Hayley will guide you through each stage of the painting with step-by-step demonstrations and plenty of individual assistance, making this workshop suitable for both beginners and more experienced painters.

In this workshop you'll learn:

  • How to simplify shapes and composition.

  • How to create depth using light and shadow.

  • How to mix rich, luminous colour in acrylic.

  • How to build form with layered brushwork.

  • How to add highlights and finishing details.

Escape to the country for a relaxed weekend of painting, creativity, and connection at the beautiful Greenhills Art Centre.

Join award-winning Western Australian artist Hayley Krüger for an inspiring acrylic painting workshop celebrating the beauty of Australian Flowers. Surrounded by peaceful countryside, cozy studio spaces, and warm hospitality, this immersive weekend is designed to nurture both your creativity and your spirit

A Gentle Flowing Experience

Over two days, Hayley will guide you through the process of creating your own finished 30cm square floral painting using acrylics. Through demonstrations, gentle guidance, and personal attention, you’ll explore composition, colour mixing, layering, brushwork, and ways to capture light and atmosphere in your work.

With approximately 12 hours of tuition across the weekend, there is plenty of time to slow down, enjoy the creative process, and paint at a relaxed pace in a supportive environment. 

Suitable for beginners through to experienced artists. 

What’s Included

  • Bring the acrylics and a variety of flat brushes you already own or request a list of Hayley’s preferred brand and colours.

Weekend Flow

Saturday

Arrive and settle into your accommodation before beginning a full day in the studio at 9am. Together we’ll explore inspiration, colour palettes, composition, and begin building your painting step by step.

 Enjoy beautiful meals throughout the day and unwind in the evening beside the fire with fellow creatives.

 Sunday

After breakfast, we return to the studio around 9am to refine and complete your artwork. Hayley will guide you through final details, colour harmony, and finishing touches before a relaxed farewell in the afternoon around 4pm.​​​​​

Price: $640 (Shared room).  A 10% single room occupancy surcharge applies for a private room.

​The above price is for a shared room. As most people prefer not to share with someone they don't know, shared rooms are only allocated to friends or couples requesting the shared option. 

Price includes accommodation, meals, workshop tuition, and all painting materials.

Optional Extended Stay

Guests are welcome to extend their stay by arriving on the Friday afternoon ready for a fresh start in the morning and or extending their stay to include the Sunday night:

  • Friday evening arrival including dinner, bed and breakfast

  • Sunday evening stay with dinner and departure Monday morning(chareges apply for extended stay.
